This weekend I made sure to have plenty of oranges and lemons. The servants had my house all the way cleaned since last weekend's party. My Rolls Royce and my station wagon were loaded with guests as usual, but this night felt different. There were lots of caterers and guests, many of whom I di not know at all, but I made sure to specially invite one old sport, Nick Carraway.

I have never really been the best host, but I made sure to properly invite him with an actual letter. I had received news that he moved in next door, and that he is Daisy's cousin.

I knew then that he could be my missing link to Daisy and I had to meet him. The party went on as most of them do. There was lots of dancing as music filled all of my rooms. The whole lot drank themselves silly.

To them I am a mysterious spy or murderer. I do not intend to give off this effect, but they might as well believe what they do.

I soon saw Nick's face and recognized that I had seen him before during the war. We talked about this, and then he confided in me that the party was unusual to him.

I think he had no idea who I was like many of my other guests, so introduced myself to make sure. He seemed to be impressed by me and intrigued.

I would have talked to him for a little longer, but my night was full of business calls. I think my plan will work to get him to reintroduce me to Daisy.

He seems to have a good soul and is not corrupted with money like the other folks living around here. I pulled Jordan Baker aside and told her of my intentions. She believes that she can convince Nick to invite Daisy for tea later.

Nick seems to really like Ms. Baker as he followed her around for he whole party. My heart hurts as I feel even closer to Daisy.

She still has not shown up at a party and was not there last night either, but soon I will be able to talk to her and win her over. I through all these lavish parties and display my wealth for her, but I have seen no response yet.

It is almost like she has no idea that I am here.
